Not sure which size to choose? This guide lists every size we print, in centimetres and inches, and shows which size tends to work where. Our most popular size is 40x50 cm (16x20in), unframed.

What sizes do your prints come in?

Most of our prints come in eight sizes. The size is the size of the print itself, listed as width x height.

Prints that use A sizes

Our "Travel Poster Print" designs (for example Paris, France Travel Poster Print and Edinburgh, Scotland Travel Poster Print) come in six sizes instead: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm), A3 (29.7 x 42 cm, 11.7 x 16.5in), A2 (42 x 59.4 cm, 16.5 x 23.4in), 50x70 cm, A1 (59.4 x 84.1 cm, 23.4 x 33.1in) and 70x100 cm.

A few golf map posters, such as the St Andrews Golf Map Poster, come in seven sizes. The sizes available are always shown on each product page.

Which size should I choose for my wall?

A simple rule: the bigger the wall and the further away you will stand, the bigger the print.

  • Desk, shelf or bedside table (13x18 cm, A4): small enough to lean against a wall or sit in a gallery wall.
  • Gallery wall: mix 30x40 cm and A4 prints, or use several of the same size in a grid for a tidy look.
  • Hallway, bedroom or home office (40x50 cm, 45x60 cm): the easy all-rounder, and the size most people choose.
  • Above a bed, desk or sideboard (50x70 cm): large enough to hold its own over furniture.
  • Above a sofa or as a single statement piece (60x80 cm, 70x100 cm): works on a large, empty wall in a living room or open-plan space.

If you are hanging a print above furniture, a print (or a pair of prints) roughly half to two-thirds the width of the furniture usually looks balanced. A single 70x100 cm print is 70 cm wide, which suits a two-seat sofa; above a wider sofa, try two 50x70 cm or 60x80 cm prints side by side.

Which size works best as a gift?

40x50 cm is our most popular size and a safe choice when you don't know the room it will go in. For a desk or a small flat, A4 or 30x40 cm is easier to find space for.

Is the framed size bigger than the print size?

The size you choose is the size of the print. If you choose a framed print, the frame sits around the print. Our frames are 10–14 mm wide, so a framed print measures 2–3 cm bigger overall than the print size.

Framed prints have no mount, so the artwork runs to the edge of the frame. Read more in our frame guide.

How are unframed prints delivered?

Unframed prints ship rolled in a cardboard tube (A4 and smaller ship flat to the UK and EU). Framed prints ship in a heavy-duty box and arrive ready to hang. Delivery is free, unframed prints are dispatched in 1–3 business days and framed prints in 2–5 business days.

Do framed prints include a mount?

No. Our framed prints have no mount; the artwork fills the frame.

Does the size include the frame?

No. The size is the print size. A framed print is 2–3 cm bigger overall than the print size.
